PACA focuses on accessible education through both public classes and community-based programs for marginalized or at-risk groups. In addition to ongoing programming, PACA produces at least one major event annually, showcasing professional circus artists alongside students and celebrating the power of performance.
Our Mission
To nurture the artistic livelihood of the region through education via recreational and social circus programs, as well as facilitate the creation of integrated arts productions.

Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional and treaty territories of the Williams Treaties First Nations, including the Anishinaabeg peoples of Hiawatha, Curve Lake, Alderville, Beausoleil, Georgina Island, Rama, and the Mississaugas of Scugog Island.
For generations, the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg have cared for these lands and waters, guided by knowledge, ceremony, and responsibility.
We recognize the ongoing impacts of these treaties, the injustices that occurred, and the enduring strength and resurgence of Indigenous communities.
As we live and work here, we commit to reflection, respect, and meaningful action in the spirit of reconciliation.
Our Team
Located in Peterborough, our team includes nationally and internationally trained artists, educators, and performers—including graduates of the National Circus School of Montreal and OCAD University, along with certified coaches in aerial, gymnastics, yoga, and much more.
Thomas Vaccaro
Artistic Director
Thomas graduated from the National Circus School of Montreal and is certified to coach 17 circus disciplines for all ages. Since 2014, he has been Artist in Residence at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre, creating and directing original circus productions. He also curates interactive circus experiences for marginalized communities.
Victoria Wood (Pyrobelle)
Co-Manager, Producer
Victoria, also known as Pyrobelle, is a circus artist and educator who has performed across North America for major brands and festivals. Based in Peterborough with PACA, she encourages people to embrace their individuality through circus and believes everyone has a little magic of their own.
Jennifer Elchuk (Opal Essence)
Instructor, Performing Arts
Jennifer brings a creative, thoughtful approach to circus and the performing arts. She enjoys helping students explore movement, build confidence, and express themselves in new ways. In class, she encourages curiosity, celebrates progress, and helps students feel comfortable trying something new.
Richard
Instructor, Performing Arts
Richard brings patience, energy, and a sense of fun to his work as an instructor and performer. He enjoys helping students explore movement, build skills through practice, and try new things. In class, Richard encourages students to take challenges one step at a time and feel proud of their progress.
Kollene
Instructor, Performing Arts
Kollene brings enthusiasm and care to her work as an instructor and performer. She enjoys creating a welcoming place for students to explore circus arts, learn new skills, and take on challenges. She encourages everyone to learn at their own pace, support one another, and enjoy the process.
